Keaton Smith Running for Re-Election to the Fayetteville School Board, At Large Position

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fayetteville, Arkansas - March 16, 2023

Keaton Smith has announced his candidacy for re-election to the Fayetteville School Board in the At Large position representing the entire Fayetteville School District. As a member of the board for the last five years, Keaton is committed to promoting smart growth and fostering community partnerships that support the career readiness of our students throughout their education.

“I am proud of the work and the team I’ve been a part of during my five years on the Fayetteville School Board. We have a strong strategic plan, which we will work to further strengthen later this year. We've made significant progress on many key goals set forth in the strategic plan,” said Keaton Smith. “I believe that our schools should be a place where every student has an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. I am committed to continuing this work and building on our successes."

Keaton adds, “During the past five years serving the students, families, and residents of Fayetteville, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the teachers, administrators, support staff, coaches, and parents who wake up every day determined to put their kids - our kids - first. Our teachers, administrators, and support staff navigated the pandemic safely and courageously in the face of unprecedented uncertainty, and we have learned together new ways of working, learning, and succeeding.”

Keaton is a champion for policies that prioritize equity and access for all students. Through collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners, Keaton has worked to ensure that every student in Fayetteville receives a high-quality education that prepares them for success in the 21st century.

Looking to the future, Keaton is focused on promoting policies that prioritize equity and access for all students, fostering community partnerships, and leveraging Fayetteville’s growth to enhance the educational experience for all students.

The campaign is excited to announce upcoming events and plans for the campaign, including volunteer opportunities and ways to support the campaign.

Election Day is May 9, and Early Voting in Fayetteville begins on May 2.
